Udinese midfielder Inler happy with Inter Milan interest
Udinese midfielder Gokhan Inler admits he's proud of interest from Inter Milan.
The Switzerland international came close to joining Inter during the summer.
“Inter's interest made me proud,” Inler said. “It showed that I have been doing a good job in recent years.
“It wasn't a big problem [that it didn't go through]. Football is like this. My agent kept me constantly informed, but I didn't let it distract me.
“I tried not to get too enthusiastic and concentrated on the pitch. Disappointed or not, you go forward and wait for the next opportunity.
“But, I repeat, I am happy because this interest is proof that my work is not in vain.”
