Udinese are fuming over the knee injury suffered by Antonio di Natale in action for Italy against Montenegro on Saturday night.
The field at the City Stadium in Podgorica was watered heavily before kick-off and several players were seen sliding around.
"There is the concrete risk he has damaged the cruciate ligament," explained Udinese director general Pietro Leonardi.
"This is the consequence of playing on a shameful pitch. It should not be allowed for internationals to be played in these conditions.
"Talking to Toto this morning he told me that during the warm-up nobody could work out what studs to use."
