Udinese coach Stramaccioni offers no excuses after dismal Parma defeat

Udinese coach Andrea Stramaccioni offered no excuses after their defeat to Parma.

Silvestre Varela struck his first ever Serie A goal for victory.

"It's difficult to comment on this match, as we had been unbeaten in four rounds," Stramaccioni told Sky Sport Italia.

"We weren't the usual Udinese today. We got it all wrong and weren't as aggressive or determined as usual.

"We could've gone in front on a few occasions, but were not clinical enough. Parma did well to score and make the most of their advantage by defending in an organised fashion.

"Let's put this defeat quickly behind us and prove against Palermo that it was just a blip. This was a difficult tie to prepare for, as the players might've thought it was easy considering Parma's situation. We are all very disappointed."
