Udinese coach Guidolin fears relegation battle

Udinese coach Francesco Guidolin admits he has concerns over relegation after a poor start to the season.

The Friulani finished third last season and lost the Champions League play-offs with Sporting Lisbon on penalties, but have started this term with two consecutive defeats.

"Our boat is still moored in the harbour while the others are already on their way," pointed out the Coach.

"We have now shaken off the Champions League hangover and are preparing for a fascinating and difficult Europa League group.

"However, with Siena it is a relegation dogfight against a strong side that is well-organised. We are on zero points and have to get off the mark. Udinese have to fight for safety, just like Siena.

"I want to see the players ready for this challenge, motivated and settled into this mentality, because this is our reality."
