Udinese sports chief Pietro Leonardi insists they've had no contact from Manchester United for striker Fabio Quagliarella.
United are again being linked with the Italy international after making an enquiry in June while Quagliarella was still with Sampdoria.
"Udinese has no intention to deprive ourselves of a player of great importance for the growth of this team," said Leonardi. "This year we began a new cycle that has already begun to yield fruit.
"Quagliarella is a very popular player, no doubt, but I assure you that no player has been asked for by anyone, let alone by the leaders of Manchester United."
