Udinese sporting director Pietro Leonardi says finishing fourth would exceed all expectations.
"We have a team of prospects and that's why they have made too many errors," he said on Radio Kiss Kiss Naples. "We wouldn't deserve Champions League qualification.
"We have paid for inexperience and we know that we have to improve starting with this evening at Parma.
"There is no need to talk about getting vengeance after last weekend's defeat against Genoa - we just have to play as we know how.
"On Sunday we were put to the sword by Marco Borriello who is a great footballer, but like all goals in football his were only 20 per cent down to his skill.
"The rest of the blame goes to the defence who made errors and let them benefit from little moments of indecision."
