Udinese midfielder Gaetano D'Agostino believes they can win the UEFA Cup this season.

The Italians face Poland's Lech Poznan this week and D'Agostino said: "We are a Cup team.

"We really want to get a great result against Poznan, but we aren't snubbing the League either.

"While we are better suited to the UEFA Cup at the moment, we aren't yet safe from relegation so we need to keep picking up points.

"We shouldn't fear anyone. A month ago we showed that against Juventus after managing just three points from the 11 previous matches.

"Nobody gave us any credit for that result, but we played well and deserved plaudits.

"Now we need to play well in the UEFA Cup because at this stage mistakes are more important than they were in the groups."
