Pasquale Marino is back in charge of Udinese after the dismissal of Gianni de Biasi.
Marino was sacked on December 22, but replacement De Biasi did not fare much better and was sent packing yesterday after the 3-0 defeat at Genoa.
"It's not that easy to get rid of me!" joked Marino in his presentation to the media. "If I accepted to come back here, it means I am convinced we can still do good work together. Otherwise I would've stayed on vacation.
"It was painful for me to watch Udinese on television, but now I am back to give my contribution. That is why the club recalled me, because I am needed here.
"I responded to their call with great enthusiasm and I cannot wait to get started. I'm convinced we all have what it takes to end the season on a positive note.
"It will be tough, especially in psychological terms, but we will emerge from this situation. Aside from what happened recently, in two and a half years at Udinese I think I have done my bit and retained a good rapport with the club.
"Naturally when returning to the locker room I saw the confidence had been hit, but I reminded the players we have a great job and so I want to see them go on to the field with joy. A victory is the best medicine in these cases."
