Udinese are set to see off competition from Manchester City for young Venezuela goalkeeper Rafael Romo.
Romo, of Llaneros de Guanarè, was one of the big stars of the U20 South American Championships this year and attracted offers from Manchester City and Genoa.
However, Udinese are now in advanced talks over a five-year contract with 19 year-old Romo's reps.
