U19 international Anderson commits to Liverpool

The 19-year-old winger has extended his current deal at Anfield until 2011, despite the fact that he is yet to make a first team appearance for the club.

The Reds signed the talented teenager from Hull in 2006, but have allowed him to learn his trade during loan spells elsewhere.

He spent last season with Swansea, catching the eye with a number of impressive displays as he helped the club secure the League One title.

He had the opportunity to return to the Liberty Stadium for the 2008/09 campaign but will instead join up with another of the Championship's new arrivals, Nottingham Forest.

He is expected to make the breakthrough at Liverpool sooner rather than later, though, and Rafa Benitez is known to hold the England U19 international in high regard.
