Tyler Blackett thrilled with Man Utd tour chance

Manchester United youngster Tyler Blackett is thrilled to be part of the squad on their tour of South Africa.

With Patrice Evra resting after Euro 2012, there could yet be an opportunity for the teenager to emerge as cover for the Frenchman when the new campaign gets underway despite his limited experience.

"It would be a dream come true," he told MUTV. "Ever since I was a little boy, I just dreamt of playing for United. Still, even now, I've got pictures on my wall of Giggs, Scholes and Ferdinand! It would just be great to play for the first team.

"Being from Manchester as well, means it's amazing to be here with everyone else. Just the experience is brilliant. You can learn a lot from being here and seeing what the players are doing and how they prepare for games. It makes you work harder to just be around everyone all the time. You've always got to push even harder and do what you can to be around them.

"When we got off the plane, I was walking through the airport and it was quiet. I didn't think anyone would be here but, when we stepped outside, it was like a different world."
