Txiki Begiristain is under pressure at Manchester City.
The Sunday Mirror says the roles of director of football Begiristain and chief executive Ferran Soriano will come under scrutiny, along with manager Manuel Pellegrini, if City fail to win the Premier League title.
There is no suggestion that City's Abu Dhabi owners are ready to make any changes at the top - even if Pellegrini's bid to overhaul Liverpool and Chelsea in the final month of the season ends in failure.
But questions will be asked about why a squad that Pellegrini boasted was the best in the Premier League at the start of the campaign did not deliver the title.
