Two own goals hands England win over Japan

England limped to victory over Japan with the help of two late own goals following Marcus Tulio Tanaka's low shot that beat David James in the seventh minute.

But it was Tanaka who got England back on level terms when he turned in a Joe Cole cross in the 72nd minute before Yuji Nakazawa managed the same from Ashley Cole just over ten minutes later.

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard again missed from the penalty spot when Eiji Kawashima saved to the right in the 55th minute after Keisuke Honda handled in the area.
