Two Chelsea teams lost on Saturday.
Antonio Conte's first team were defeated by Rapid Vienna and a second XI were beaten by Bergerac Perigord at Cobham.
This friendly was an opportunity for game time for many players who spent last season on loan like Jordan Houghton, Alex Davey and Alex Kiwomya, plus some of the older Under-21 group such as Fankaty Dabo, Charlie Colkett and Jay Dasilva.
Earlier in the day at Cobham, Chelsea's youth team continued their pre-season campaign with a friendly game against Queens Park Rangers. Jody Morris's side won 2-0 courtesy of a second half brace from Martell Taylor-Crossdale, the 16-year-old striker having also netted for the Under-21s on Friday.
