Two Norwegian fans flush with cash after betting on Liverpool's Suarez biting!

TWO Norwegian fans are in the money thanks to Liverpool striker Luis Suarez's biting controversy.

The Mirror reports bookmakers in the town of Bergen were offering promo odds of 174/1 on the Uruguayan striker sinking his teeth into an opponent during the World Cup, but not many punters took them up on the offer.

Thomas Syvertsen decided to be brave, however, putting 32 Norwegian Krone down - and was delighted to net the equivalent of £540 after the incident in the Group D clash.

"I think Suarez is an excellent player," Syvertsen told newspaper Bergens Tidende. "I'm going to buy my girlfriend a present with the money. Maybe a football shirt.

A spokesperson for Betsson confirmed that they would pay out.

Syvertsen's good fortune follows news that another Norwegian fan, Richard Helmersen, had netted nearly £2,000 after putting money on the Uruguayan sinking his teeth into someone during the World Cup.

Helmersen put 100 kroner (about a tenner) on Suarez biting again at 175/1 after the striker had twice been punished for doing so in the past.
