Francesco Totti insists Roma won't suffer a second-half fade-out this season after hitting both goals in yesterday's 2-0 defeat of Sampdoria.

The attacking midfielder said: "There's still a long way to go in the league. We will not fade like last year. For this championship we will fight to the end.

"It's been hard missing the last two months. I was experiencing a fantastic time. The injury seemed less serious, instead it kept me out for such a long time. I still have pain, but I cannot leave the team at this time."
