Two-goal Routledge: Swansea were ruthless

Wayne Routledge felt at time he and his Swansea City teammates were ruthless in their 5-1 Europa League playoff qualifier victory over Petrolul Ploeisti.

The Swans gave themselves every conceivable chance of qualifying for the group stage of Europe's second tier club competition with a massive win at the Liberty Stadium and the manner of the performance, for the most part, pleased Routledge who netted a first-half double.

"At times I think we were ruthless," Routledge said. "There were times we could have scored more but to get five at home was a nice feeling.

"At the end it got sort of into a bar fight but it was nice to have the five goals by then.

"It's nice to get on the scoresheet but it's nicer to get a result like we did tonight. It stands us in good stead for the next leg."
