The Football Federation of Australia (FFA) has decided to make additional changes to the A-League schedule. With Adelaide United competing in the FIFA Club World Cup along with the Asian Champions League, the FFA has had to move two of Adelaide's games from mid-December to early January. The FIFA Club World Cup is held in Japan from the 11th-21st December, coinciding with A-League matches involving Adelaide. The FFA has moved the Round 15 Melbourne Victory v Adelaide United clash from Friday 12 December 2008 to Tuesday 6 January 2009 and the Round 16 Adelaide United v Queensland Roar fixture from Saturday 20 December 2008 to Wednesday 14 January 2009.
