TWITTER ROW: QPR's Marseille loanee goes to war with ex-Man City teammate Hamann

Former teammates Joey Barton and Dietmar Hamann have entered into a bitter row on Twitter.

Ex-Germany international Hamann called for Barton to show more respect to his old club Newcastle United after the Marseille loanee tweeted that Loic Remy was set to join Barton's parent club QPR.

A deal for Remy to join the Magpies was all but done but reports suggest the move is now off, prompting Barton to respond negatively towards the Northeast clubs managing director Derek Llambias.

Former Newcastle player Hamann, who played with Barton at Manchester City, took offence to the midfielders comments.

Below is the entire transcript from their Twitter war:

Dietmar Hamann: "Joey do yourself a favour and stay out of club politics QPR and NUFC have paid you well for playing not to commentonrecruitment"
