FC Twente starlet Ola John has claimed that he turned down interest from Manchester United and Arsenal last year.
The 19-year old Liberian-born winger has revealed that the Premier League clubs tried to sign him previously but he insisted on remaining in Enschede to continue his development with Twente.
"When I extended my contract at FC Twente, I had the opportunity to go to Manchester United and Arsenal," he told De Telegraaf.
"But I chose to take my chances at Twente.
"If I'm really good, there will still be a chance to go to a big club."
