Twente striker Enes Unal: I can't return to Man City

FC Twente striker Enes Unal admits he won't be able to play for parent club Manchester City next season.

The 19-year-old Turkish striker has been a big hit playing on loan for FC Twente in Holland, scoring 17 goals in 29 appearances this season.

He said: “Because I have not played at least 70 percent of the country games in the last two years, I do not get any work permit in England."

Twente technical director Jan van Halst admitted: “It will be difficult to keep him.

“The problem is that we do not take the lead in this case. The ball is in Manchester City's court, and we have no idea what they are going to do with him.

“For his development it would be good for him to stay another year with us."
