FC Twente striker Luc Castaignos remains keen on a move to Swansea City.
WalesOnlne says the Swans had a £6.5m bid accepted by the Dutch Eredivisie side last month with personal talks due after the 21-year-old's return from holiday.
But it is thought Garry Monk is unlikely to now push through a move for the former Inter Milan frontman having snapped up free-agent forward Bafetimbi Gomis.
Representative Rodger Linse - who also looks after loan star Jonathan de Guzman, who Swansea want to bring back to the Liberty after the World Cup - added: "Swansea have not come to us and arranged a meeting."
