Three weeks after Jay Heaps became the first New England Revolution player to play 20,000 minutes for the club and two weeks after Shalrie Joseph became the third Revs player to reach the 15,000-minute mark, Taylor Twellman is on the verge of his own minutes milestone ... the 29-year-old is just 63 minutes shy of becoming the fourth player in Revolution history to play 15,000 minutes for the club, as he has been sitting on 14,937 minutes since the end of the 2008 season.
Twellman has missed the first nine games of 2009 while recovering from severe whiplash symptoms stemming from the blow to the head he received on Aug. 30, 2008, but he's ramped up his training in recent weeks and his return to the field appears to be very close to a reality.
