Sunderland defender Michael Turner has told teammate Martyn Waghorn to enjoy the Championship playoffs with Leicester City.

On-loan Waghorn's goals have helped fire the Foxes into the Championship play-offs and give the club a shot at the big time just a season after winning promotion from League One.

Turner had a taste of the play-offs with former club Hull City in May 2008, helping the Tigers to a first-ever promotion to the top flight, and he wants Waghorn to have that same experience.

"The whole experience was wonderful," Turner told safc.com. "The semi-finals are such great occasions and winning through to the final gives everyone a massive boost.

"The final was a fantastic day, especially as we won. To get up through the play-offs was a wonderful achievement at a wonderful time."
