Turkish giants Besiktas have joined the race to sign Dnipro winger Yevhen Konoplyanka.

Konoplyanka is one of the most highly sought after players on the European market as he is set to become a free agent, prompting host of clubs such as Stoke City, Liverpool, Sevilla, Galatasaray and Tottenham Hotspur to show interest.

Now, Besiktas have entered the race for Konoplyanka following the revelations made by club president Fikret Orman.

Orman said: "I have watched him play myself three times. This is the nature of what we do, but there is no deal in place now and we are also interested in other players. The fans must remain calm... we will act within our means."
