Turkey star Nihat Kahveci said after the victory against Croatia that he foresees a final against Spain.
Turkey produced yet another last-minute comeback in Euro 2008, this time to send Croatia out of the tournament and secure a semi-finals showdown against Germany.
Nihat insisted the penalty shootout win was a historical victory and is confident that both Turkey and Spain will progress to the final.
"We are just one step away from the final, and I will wait for Spain there," said Nihat, who plays for Villarreal. "We gave everything we had until the last moment and that went well again today."
"We have reached the semi-finals of Euro and with this result we have entered the history of Turkey. We are very happy."
The Turkish forward had to be substituted in the 117th minute due to injury, the seriousness of which may well rule him out of the clash against Germany.
"I do not know yet how I am. Tomorrow, I will do a MRI to check on my condition. But right now I am not thinking about that," he said.
When asked about Turkey's next opponent, Nihat said that Germany are a "strong team, hard to beat".
"But now we have a lot more trust in ourselves," he added. "Let's see if we can reach a final for the first time in history."
