The forward said: "I didn't have to think long about it when I heard about Hearts' interest, I wanted to come here as my number one choice.

"I have the same agent as Peter Lovenkrands, who played at Rangers, and we talked a little. I wasn't in any doubt. I wanted to come here because I have been following Scottish football.

"The football here I've always been very impressed with because it's very physical, strong football. That's one of my strengths.

"Peter said there are three big clubs, Rangers, Celtic and Hearts. For me, Hearts are one of the big three, but the first goal is to get in the top six and after that we will set new goals."
