Wigan Athletic chairman Dave Whelan says that manager Roberto Martinez will make his decision early this week.
The Spaniard is being tracked by manager-less duo Everton and Stoke City and with the FA Cup-winning Latics being relegated to the Championship, he is now considering ending his tenure at the DW Stadium.
Wheln says a decision will be made on Tuesday with the club to announce whatever comes out of the sit-down shortly after.
"I am due to meet Roberto for lunch on Tuesday and we'll announce what is happening after that," Whelan told the Mail on Sunday.
"I can't offer him Premier League football but we are still a club in a strong position to go for promotion next season.
"I'll tell him we can keep any player he wants to."
