Lee Trundle is prepared to take a pay cut to prolong his Swansea City stay. The striker's loan move is nearing completion along with his contract at parent club Bristol City.
But the 33-year-old, who is Swansea's second-joint top scorer this season with five goals, hopes to be back in South Wales when the Championship season kicks off on August 7.
"We are meeting on Wednesday and Thursday and will sit down and see what's happening," said Trundle.
"Hopefully it will be the news that I want to hear and I'll be staying here.
"I'd take a pay cut to stay here, that's not a problem at all for me.
"I love playing for this club and I want to do all I can to help the club push on and get a play-off spot next season."
