Neil Lennon has admitted to being a nervous wreck prior to Celtic's Scottish Cup final against Hibernian.
The Scottish Premier League champions completed their first domestic double in six years by beating the Hibees 3-0 at Hampden and although he was all smiles after the triumph, Lennon said he had been feeling quite differently in the lead-up.
"I felt so nervous before, and all the way during the game. It's the worst I've felt before a game. It was because of the weight of expectation riding on the game," he said.
"We didn't want to be the team that broke the hoodoo for Hibs as well and have it thrown at us."
Lennon added: "It feels amazing. The players were excellent. They controlled the game, played with great maturity and scored three very special goals.
"I don't know why I felt a little bit more nervous than normal.
"It was probably because everyone thought it was a shoo-in, a foregone conclusion.
"But football's not like that.
"Hibernian had their own incentives to win it. Huge incentives.
"But I was looking at the clock - I think it was about 82 or 83 minutes - and thinking: 'I just want it to end'.
"I enjoyed the end. I enjoyed the celebrations.
"It's a huge relief and I'm just absolutely thrilled. You've got to enjoy these days."
A first-half double from Gary Hooper and a third goal from Joe Ledley with ten minutes remaining allowed Celtic to clinch the 2013 Scottish Cup, giving them their 36th triumph in the competition.
