Trippier intent on grabbing every possible Tottenham chance

Kieran Trippier has stated that he is working hard to earn a place in the Tottenham Hotspur first team.

Trippier joined Tottenham from Burnley over the summer but the defender has found regular minutes on the pitch hard to come by due to the presence of Kyle Walker ahead of him in the pecking order.

Nonetheless, Trippier is remaining positive and has stated that he is working hard in order to do his best whenever called upon following his full 90 minutes in the weekend's 4-1 thrashing of Sunderland.

The right-back said: "I just want to try to do my best every time I get an opportunity.

"We always keep on top of our fitness work in training with the drills we do with the staff so that when we're called upon, everyone's fit and available.

"That's not just me, it's all the lads who have been on the bench so I'm delighted to get 90 minutes under my belt and now we're looking forward to the next game against Leicester (in the FA Cup third round replay on Wednesday).

"Hopefully we'll get the win there and progress through in the FA Cup. We want to go as far as we can."
