Three Toronto FC players were arrested early Monday morning for begin involved in a drunken altercation outside a bar in Houston.
Miguel Aceval, Nick Soolsma and Luis Silva were all arrested for public intoxication ahead of TFC's meeting with the Houston Dynamo on Wednesday and have been charged by police.
"The players are presently with the team and we continue to investigate this matter. As such, the team will not provide any further comment at this time.""We are aware of the charges filed against Miguel Aceval, Luis Silva and Nick Soolsma in Houston earlier (Monday)," a statement from Toronto FC owner Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment read.
It's never an ideal situation for any club to have players involved in such a misdemeanour but it's even worse for TFC who sit at the bottom of the MLS table with just one win from 11 matches.
