Trio of key players will miss England clash - Montenegro boss

Montenegro manager Branko Brnovic has confirmed he will rest three players for tomorrow night's Euro2012 qualifier against England.

The fledgling nation are close to qualifying for next summer's European Championships but will need to navigate both England and Switzerland before their place in the Poland and Ukraine tournament is confirmed.

With one eye on the clash with the third-placed Swiss in Basel on Tuesday, Brnovic insists that a trio of key Montenegrins will not play against England, who need just a point in Podgorica to assure their berth.

"We are resting three players (Milan Jovanovic, Marko Basa and Nikola Drincic) for the Switzerland game, so we are thinking about that game (as well as the England match)," he said.

"If we knew that the Swiss would not win in Wales tomorrow, then we would put out the team which would create much more problems for the England team than they expect.

"Is my selection a risk? I was forced to do these changes because I can't risk all eight players being suspended for the last game.

"It was difficult explaining to the players being rested why they will not play against England.

"But they accepted it as professionals, are aware of our situation and they can deal with that.

"It's something I have to do. But I strongly believe in the team I'm putting out tomorrow night."
