Seattle Sounders have joined Chicago Fire and New York Cosmos in the race to land Sergio Ballesteros.
The 37-year old Levante defender had already emerged as a key target for the Fire, with NASL side the Cosmos showing interest, and now the Sounders are looking at bringing him across the Atlantic.
Ballesteros has spent his entire career in Spain with such clubs as Tenerife, Rayo Vallecano, Villarreal and Mallorca and his extensive playing days could very well be continued in North America's top league or with the reformed Cosmos.
