TRIBAL TRENDS - TRANSFERS: Ronaldo and Dybala at Real Madrid?; Liverpool's Coutinho to Barcelona? Man Utd and Aurier?; Sanches to Chelsea?

With the amount of rumours swirling around at this time of year, even after the winter transfer window, it is sometimes difficult to decipher the truth.

These are matters of importance.

As the transfer talk is now directed at the all-important summer market, there are enormous amounts of speculation swirling around Europe and the UK.

Not to worry however, because here at Tribalfootball, we have broken down the week's hottest transfer rumours, and inform you whether you should believe the paper talk or not.

Here are our top five trending transfer stories for the past week:

Paulo Dybala - Juventus

Clubs Interested: Real Madrid, Barcelona

Real Madrid and Kylian Mbappe are impossible to seperate. The Monaco whizkid has been the talk of the summer following his scintillating performances in Ligue 1 and the Champions League.

All the English clubs have been after him, of course. Arsenal and their French manager are said to be the favourites of Mbappe's heart. But as we all know, sentimentality and emotion have no factor in football, as today's news out of Catalonia can attest.

The team that are desirable, and more importantly, economically capable for Mbappe and Monaco, is Real. Los Blancos probably would have been able to afford it before they sold Alvaro Morata, James Rodriguez and Danilo, but now that they have, they have the funds to splash out on the 18-year old.

Now what of it? Well, recent reports from Diario Gol have claimed that Cristiano Ronaldo has other ideas about how they should utilise their resources.

Apparently, the Portuguese does not agree with the consensus - Mbappe is not that good, he says.

But Ronny thinks somebody else is worth the money and he's called Florentino Perez to tell him to ditch his plans to sign Mbappe. Instead, Ronaldo wants too see Juventus attacker Paulo Dybala arrive at the Bernabeu.

The Argentina international had a rather down season in 2016/17, having scored 11 goals in 34 Serie A matches, eight less than the season before last, albeit with three more matches.

That's not a knock of Dybala, no, not at all. He has the potential to be one the world's best players - just like Mbappe. The 23-year old is skilful, elusive and clinical, and eerily similar to his compatriot, Lionel Messi.

So much does the attacker resemble Messi, that Barcelona have been tracking him for over two years, and Ronaldo is said to of used this fact to help try and persuade Perez to sign Dybala, so as to get one over their rivals.

A change from the more defensive-mined Serie A may benefit Dybala, but given the way the market has changed after today, I can't see Juve accepting anything less than 150m euros.

Likelihood: Unlikely - unless Real want to break the bank

Serge Aurier - Paris Saint Germain

Clubs Interested: Manchester United

The Mirror reports that Serge Aurier and Manchester United have a deal in place to send the Ivorian to Old Trafford.

The Paris Saint Germain fullback made just 22 league appearances for the capital club last season, sharing the right-back position with Thomas Meunier.

The report suggests that work permits are holding up the transfer and that Aurier has all but signed for the club.

Jose Mourinho has publicly stated that he wants ONE more player at United. This isn't a different rhetoric from the Portuguese, he has stated from the beginning that he wants four players at the club this summer.

Nemanja Matic, Romelu Lukaku and Victor Lindelof have arrived and Mourinho has given his due plaudits to Ed Woodward for his work.

But he's still short of his task.

So is that elusive player Aurier?

I find it hard to believe considering the much publicised pursuit of Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic.

United have refused to meet Inter's asking price of over £45m for the Croatian, but regardless, Woodward's continual attempts at negotiations shows us one thing.

Mourinho's fourth is player is a winger.

Not a fullback. And therefore, not Aurier.

Likelihood: Doubtful

Philippe Coutinho- Liverpool

Clubs Interested: Barcelona

Reports out of Brazil these week have claimed that Philippe Coutinho's minders are 'baffled' by rumours the diminutive playmaker has agreed terms with Barcelona.

It is unlikely that Coutinho has actually discussed anything with the Blaugrana, but the circumstances surrounding the transfer as a whole have become a lot more complicated following Neymar's move to Paris Saint Germain.

There is a real possibility that the Brazilian could make the move, now that his compatriot has jumped ship.

I know it's a tough pill to swallow Liverpool fans, but it's possible.

Despite Jurgen Klopp's defiance, his repeated attempts to shun any sort of speculation surrounding his star player, the FSG have been seller's in the past and they will be tempted to sell again if Bartomeu lodges a bid, some have rumoured to be around 120m euros.

Likelihood: Sorry Liverpool fans, this could happen

Renato Sanches - Bayern Munich

Renato Sanches arrived at the Allianz with much fanfare after his Euro2016 winning campaign with Portugal.

The deal with Benfica was worth 35m euros initially, with another 45m euros out there to be paid if objectives are completed.

But unfortunately for Bayern, the 19-year old struggled in his first season in Germany.

And according to A Bola, the midfielder is set to join Chelsea on loan.

The reports state that Sanches rejected the opportunity to join AC Milan, who showed a keen interest in him.

Chelsea though?

It's hard to believe that Antonio Conte would want somebody who has been criticised by Bayern fans and members of the German press for being too lazy and not working hard enough defensively.

Everybody who watched Chelsea claim the Premier League title last season knows that these are the exact principles that led them to glory.

Likelihood: Not going to happen

Sadio Mane- Liverpool

Clubs Interested: Inter Milan

The Daily Express has claimed that Inter Milan have lodged a bid for Sadio Mane.

The Liverpool live-wire had a great first season with the Reds before injury shut him down for the season.

However, much to the delight of Jurgen Klopp and the Kop faithful, the Senegal international looks ready to go for the new season after his sensational display against Bayern Munich earlier this week.

Although, the FSG are open for business, it would be difficult to imagine Inter forking out the money needed to sign the 25-year old, even with their deep Chinese coffers.

Likelihood: Can't see this eventuating
