TRIBAL TRENDS - TRANSFERS: Morata wants Chelsea; Spurs set Dele Alli fee; Man Utd to move 3 for Griezmann?

With the amount of rumours swirling around at this time of year, even after the winter transfer window, it is sometimes difficult to decipher the truth.

These are matters of importance.

With all the transfer talk now directed at the all-important summer market, there are enormous amounts of speculation swirling around Europe and the UK.

Not to worry however, because here at Tribalfootball, we have broken down the week's hottest transfer rumours, and inform you whether you should believe the paper talk or not.

Here are our top five trending transfer stories for the past week:

Alvaro Morata - Real Madrid
Clubs interested: Chelsea

The transfer talk regarding Morata just won't go away.

The Daily Star is of the belief that the Spanish striker has asked Real Madrid to sell hi to Chelsea.

Diario Gol adds that Antonio Conte is willing to sell goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois to the Spanish giants if Morata makes his way to Stamford Bridge.

Recent reports later in the week have indicated that Florentino Perez will offload Morata as part of a deal to land Torino striker Andrea Belotti, so make of that what you will.

Conte's apparent desire to add the 24-year-old at season's end makes this deal appear somewhat likely, but only if Perez and Zizou don't flog him off elsewhere…or at all.

I can certainly see Morata in a Blue shirt next season but not necessarily at the cost of Courtois.

Likelihood: 60% chance of joining Chelsea, but not with Courtois involved

Dele Alli - Tottenham Hotspur
Clubs interested: Real Madrid, Manchester United, PSG

Expect there to be a plethora of transfer stories about the Spurs star in the coming months.

Dele Alli is already a top-quality goalscoring midfielder and will only continue to get better and better, such is the high praise coming out of White Hart Lane from Mauricio Pochettino and other senior figures.

Don Balon is of the opine that Spurs have informed Real Madrid they are prepared to offload the 20-year-old England international this summer.

But it was sort of a little trick, as they ARE willing to sell, but at an exorbitant price.

The North Londoners want more than €100million for Alli - about the same fee Los Blancos coughed up for Gareth Bale.

At that cost, Florentino and Zizou are likely to do business elsewhere I would imagine.

Manchester United are sniffing around, while PSG are also keeping an eye on the situation.

But don't expect Alli to be going anywhere anytime soon.

Likelihood: Alli to have starring role in WHL's revamp…

Antoine Griezmann - Atletico Madrid
Clubs interested: Manchester United

Yep! This rumour ain't going anywhere.

United WANT Griezmann badly. Griezmann continues to wink at United.

The Independent says Jose Mourinho might need to sell captain Wayne Rooney, Anthony Martial AND Marouane Fellaini just to fund the Frenchman.

While the potential exits of the trio is expected to free up £260,000 in United's weekly wage bill, can you see Mou getting rid of all three?

Fellinai, yes. Rooney, hmmm, maybe. Martial, unlikely, but you never know…

Anyways, I can see Antoine strutting around Old Trafford wearing Beckham's number 7 but at least one of the aforementioned troika will still be with the club in 2017/18.

In terms of this particular rumour being accurate, I would say no…

Likelihood: …but Griezmann to United looks solid.

Yannick Carrasco - Atletico Madrid
Clubs interested: Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City

Carrasco will probably leave Atletico in the summer.

But to Chelsea in exchange for Diego Costa? No chance!

This is what Don Balon reckons.

It appears as though the Belgian has fallen out of favour with Diego Simeone which is a position I would hate to find myself in. Can you imagine being on the end of a Simeone rollicking…?

So a move away from the Vicente Calderon looks on the cards, especially seeing as Man Utd and Man City are both keen.

But Conte said this week that 'the situation is very clear' surrounding Diego who is 'very happy to stay' at 'The Bridge'.

Carrasco could go, but not with Costa to returning to Atleti.

Likelihood: Dreamin'

Joe Hart - Manchester City, *on loan at Torino
Clubs interested: Liverpool, Arsenal

Daniel Sturridge - Liverpool
Clubs interested: West Ham United

Simon Mignolet - Liverpool
Clubs interested: uncertain

talkSPORT's Micky Quinn has mail that Liverpool are set to make some big changes this summer.

It is believed that Daniel Sturridge and Simon Mignolet will be offloaded.

To offset the loss of Mignolet, Jurgen Klopp wants Joe Hart from Man City.

The England international is also wanted by Arsenal but you can't really see the Gunners ridding themselves of Petr Cech just yet.

Hart wants to return to the Premier League after his stint in Italy and a big, traditional club is something that would suit him perfectly.

This particular rumour does not state that West Ham are keen on Sturridge but it is believed that Klopp may urge the injury-prone striker to move on at season's end.

That could be where the former Chelsea and City man ends up as Slaven Bilic is interested.

As for Mignolet, who knows?

But it is likely that he will no longer be at Anfield beyond this term now that Loris Karius is around, doubled with the fact Hart could be on his way to Merseyside.

Regarding the 'five to six high-profile players' Fenway Sports Group want, well, that's another matter entirely.

Likelihood: Some of this will happen. Maybe not at all though.
