TRIBAL TRENDS - TOP 5: Wenger makes Alexis wage claim; Barcelona star Messi drops MLS hint; Real Madrid rift on display;

Now that the dust has settled following the end of the January transfer window, let's have a look at what has intrigued Tribal readers over the past seven days.

There is news from all the big clubs including Arsenal, Barcelona and Real Madrid.

The top story over the last week detailed Arsene Wenger's regret at not sellingAlexis Sanchez last summer.

The Mirror reported that Wenger made the comments during a Q&A session for the club's executive box holders.

The Frenchman also supposedly revealed that Alexis is now earning more than £600,000-a-week with Manchester United.

Meanwhile, Lionel Messi has sent a teasing comment to David Beckham, who recently announced his new MLS franchise in Miami.

The Barcelona superstar has been linked with a move to America when his twilight years approach - although he's shown no signs of slowing down at the age of 32.

In a video Messi sent to his fellow Adidas alum, the Argentine cheekily teased that he should make him an offer to join the new south Florida club.

An interesting Tribal feature on the positive direction Arsenal have seemingly taken after ridding themselves of the Alexis Sanchez saga has polled well amongst readers this week.

With Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan now calling the Emirates home, and Mesut Ozil signing a new three-year contract, maybe things are turning upwards for the Gunners.

Jamie Carragher believes Philippe Coutinho just wasn't worth the €160m Barcelona paid Liverpool for his services last month.

The Liverpool legend was surprised Coutinho left in January instead of at the end of the season.

But after the price they were offered, Carragher believes Liverpool couldn't say no because Coutinho is "not that good." A tad Bitter, Carra?

And finally, a story out of the Bernabeu made waves this week.

Don Balón have claimed Isco's celebration in Real's 2-2 draw with Levante was indicative of the problems within Zinedine Zidane's squad.

Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo were amongst the players not to embrace the Spanish midfielder.

Whatever it is, something is not right in Madrid.
