TRIBAL TRENDS - TOP 5: Forget Mbappe - Ronaldo asks for Juve star at Real Madrid; Barca offer player for Coutinho; Neymar wants 4 players at PSG;

It's that time of week again where we look back over the past seven days and check out what articles Tribal readers have fancied the most.

Overall, our week has been dominated by stories surrounding Liverpool, Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has intervened in the club's pursuit of Monaco whizkid Kylian Mbappe.

The Portuguese superstar has decided to throw his weight around, given his larger than life status at the Bernabeu.

And according to Diario Gol, Ronaldo has called president Florentino Perez and told him to buy Juventus forward Paulo Dybala instead of Mbappe.

Readers are undoubtedly interested in this piece of news considering the ramifications for not only Real, but their rivals Barcelona, who have identified Dybala as a long-term target.

The Blaugrana have other targets in their sight for the immediate future, most notably Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho.

Don Balon claims that Barca are prepared to offerIvan Rakitic to the Reds as a sweetener in the deal for Coutinho.

It certainly makes sense for Ernesto Valverde to offload the Croatian, with his playing time set to be reduced due to the arrival of the 24-year old.

But according to Coutinho's minders, all this talk of a move to Barcelonais plain codswallop.

Much to the relief of Liverpool fans, a Brazilian football expert, who is close to Coutinho's entourage, has dismissed the speculation.

Quoted by the Twitter handle, @BrazilStat, the source stated that the former Inter Milan midfielder is 'baffled' by rumours in the Catalan press which claim he is in talks with Barca over a move.

Liverpool fans have incoming transfer worries as well.

The protracted move of Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk to Anfield took another turn last week after the Dutch defender was left off the Saints pre-season trip to France.

And now the south-coast club's former manager Lawrie McMenemy believes that, if indeed the 25-year old is bound to depart the club, he should not go for less than £70m.

Finally, the story that has the whole football world talking has seen yet another element thrown into the mix this week.

According to Le Parisien, Neymar wants Paris Saint Germain to sign four players before he agrees to join the club.

The Barcelona winger has been the subject of a bid from the Ligue 1 club, reported to be in the region of €222m.

As if all the gross amounts of money weren't enough, the Brazilian superstar also wants Coutinho and Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez to join him in Paris.
