TRIBAL TRENDS - TOP 5: Arsenal target Mahrez to Chelsea; Klopp wants Rakitic in Coutinho swap; Man Utd lodge final Bale bid;

It's that time of week again where we look back over the past seven days and check out what articles Tribal readers have fancied the most.

Overall, we've got stories about all the major clubs including Liverpool, Barcelona and Manchester United.

Our top story this week comes from Tribal Football's European correspondent Emanuele Giulianelli, who broke down the transfer prospects of Arsenal and Chelsea in the final days of the transfer window.

Virgil van Dijk and Thomas Lemar remain as Arsene Wenger's prized targets, but the likelihood that the pair will instead join Liverpool has grown larger as the week has progessed.

One player that could sneak into the Emirates is Julian Draxler, who will find himself even further on the outer at the Parc de Princes should the 18-year-old Kylian Mbappe seal his loan move to PSG.

Chelsea on the other hand are targeting Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez, who has been also been looked at by Arsenal and Tottenham.

The Blues are prepared to offer €50m for the Algerian winger, who told the Foxes early in the summer that he wanted to leave the King Power.

Liverpool and Barcelonaare still locked in talks over Philippe Coutinho, according to Diario Sport.

The latest offer includes a cash-plus-players deal which includes Arda Turan, Andre Gomes and Rafinha.

However, Reds manager Jurgen Klopp has rebutted with a deal of his own. The German has instead suggested Sergio Roberto and Ivan Rakitic plus cash for the diminutive Brazilian.

Barca are not giving up on a deal, despite Liverpool's determined stance that Coutinho is not for sale. Expect this one to go down to the wire on deadline day.

Bad news for Paulo Dybala as Lionel Messi has informed him there is no room at Barcelona this season.

The Argentine has been informed by Barca that the arrival of Ousmane Dembele from Borussia Dortmund has caused them to shelve plans to sign Dybala.

Dybala has instead committed his energy towards making sure Juventus go one better in the Champions League this season, even going as far as to inherit the number 10 jersey, which has previously been worn by club greats Alessandro Del Piero, Roberto Baggio and Michel Platini.

Big news emerged from Anfield prior to Liverpool's 4-0 win over Arsenal on Sunday.

HLN's report that Simon Mignolet would be dropped for the clash proved to be true.

Jurgen Klopp later stated that he has rested the Belgian, but Mignolet may as well have played, as his replacement, Loris Karius, did not have to make a save all game.

And finally, Manchester United have made a bid for Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale.

According to Don Balon, the Red Devils have offered Real €100m for the Wales international.

The report claims that the bid is a one-off proposition and left on the table until the window shuts. The bid hasn't been rejected and the emergence of Marco Asensio has given the Los Blancos board a decision to make on their record-signing.
