TRIBAL STATS - Matchday 3: Man Utd emulate 2011/12 side; Chelsea's Morata creates history; Gomes greatest South American PL keeper;

We here at Tribal have compiled the numbers and facts that matter, and the ones that don't matter too, from the week that was in the Premier League.

Raheem Sterling made his 162nd Premier League appearance, receiving his first red card after scoring the winning goal for Manchester City in their 2-1 victory over Bournemouth.

The Englishman's dismissal came in the ninth minute of stoppage time, meaning the match finished up just 2 minutes and 17 second shorter than the longest game in Premier League History, clocking in at 100 minutes and 21 seconds.

City have only lost 1 of their last 10 away games, proving they are just as formidable away from Etihad Stadium.

Swansea registered their first shot on target for the season in their 2-0 win over Crystal Palace, a full 223 minutes after they kicked off their first game. Within that time, Manchester United had already scored on 8 occasions.

Crystal Palace will for the second year in a row enter Matchday 4 without a win to their name.

Huddersfield's 0-0 draw with Southampton continues their streak as the only unbeaten side in the history of the Premier League.

The Terriers finished up in 3rd place after this result. The last newly promoted side to be within the top 3 at this point of the season was Portsmouth, at the beginning of the 2003/2004 season.

As a result of Newcastle's 3-0 thumping of West Ham, Rafael Benitez won his 500th point as a Premier League manager.

Heurelho Gomes kept his 50th Premier league clean sheet in Watford's 0-0 draw with Brighton, becoming the first South American Goalkeeper to do so in the PL.

Following the result, Brighton continue to search for their first top flight victory for nearly 35 years.

By denying Romelu Lukaku in Leicester's 2-0 loss to Manchester United, Kasper Schemichel saved his first penalty at Old Trafford. That is one more than his father Peter, who in 292 league appearances for Manchester United never stopped a penalty in front of his home crowd.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan notched his 5th assist within 3 games this season, equaling the assist record within three games set by Ruel Fox in 1994/1995. Mkhitaryan's total of 5 far surpasses his total of 1 assist from last season.

Manchester United have now spent more time atop the Premier League table over the past three weeks than they have over the duration of the last two seasons.

Sitting atop the table with a +10 goal difference, Manchester United have had the most statistically impressive start of any Premier league start since their own side in 2011/2012. The season in which Sergio Aguero stole the title from them inside the last minute of the year.

With another impressive display, Alvaro Morata became the first player in PL history to score and assist in his first two home games in Chelsea's 2-0 win over Everton.

Going into half time down 2 goals to nil was a bad sign for Everton, who have never overcome a deficit of two goals or more after half time. They have lost 55 of their 59 attempts to do so, with 4 draws being their best effort.

The last time Everton travelled to Chelsea and won, Everton midfielder Tom Davies had not yet been born. With this win Chelsea stretched their streak of unbeaten results at home against Everton to 23.

In Stoke City's 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion, Peter Crouch put away his 51st headed goal in the Premier League, more than any other player.

The equalising goal was also Crouch's first of the season, meaning he has scored in 14 of his last 15 Premier League seasons.

Arsenal v Liverpool clashes have a tendency to keep the goalkeepers busy, with the bout being the highest scoring in premier League history and the trend didn't stop on Sunday withLiverpool trouncing Arsenal 4-0.

Petr Cech has now conceded 14 goals in 4 games as an Arsenal player against Liverpool. The first time these two met last season Liverpool also put away 4 goals.

For the first time in nearly 3 years, Arsenal failed to register a single shot on target, failing to trouble Liverpool Goalkeeper Loris Karius who was making his first league appearance since December.

Harry Kane has again failed to score in August in the PL, with none of his 42 shots in that period finding the back of the net. Only two of his 10 shots in Tottenham's 1-1 draw with Burnleymanaged to find the target.

The move to Wembley seems to already be proving a problem for the Spurs already, as Tottenham have already dropped 5 points at home this season. Over the entirety of last season they only dropped 4.
