Newcastle Jets trialists Jorge Florentin and Felip Garcia were in good form against APIA Leichhardt at Lambert Park last night.

The duo scored both goals in the Jets 2-0 win, Florentin's in the 55th minute and Garcia's ten minutes later.

Jets coach Branko Culina was happy with the pair's performance and planned to use them against Sydney FC on the weekend.

"Jorge started slowly but once he scored he showed some deft touches and started running and finding space," Culina said.

"In the first half he and Peter Haynes did not play with enough width.

"Jorge got wider in the second half and once he scored he was a different player.

"Felip was OK," Culina added. "He scored a good goal and put himself about.

"We will have another look at him and Jorge against Sydney FC on Sunday."
