Real Sociedad stopper Asier Riesgo is hoping a deal can now be struck for him to join Tottenham Hotspur after he seemingly impressed during his trial, reports The Independent. The 26 year old, a former Spain Under-21 international who spent last season on loan at Recreativo Huelva before returning to Segunda Division club Sociedad, is hoping he did enough during his time in England to earn himself a deal at White Hart Lane.
"It's a nice opportunity. I would go to a great club and a change of air would be good for me. I have to look out for my interests," Riesgo was quoted as saying in newspaper Diario Vasco on his return to Sociedad.
"The coach told me that he was happy with the time that I spent there. Now the clubs have to find a financial agreement. I think that it's a positive operation for all."
