Angola international defender Francisco Zuela is in England for talks with Wigan Athletic.
The powerful 6ft star arrived yesterday and will feature in a closed-door game today as Roberto Martinez decides whether to buy him from Russian side FC Kuban in the transfer window, says the Mirror.
Zuela, who has a Portuguese passport, only joined the Russians at the start of the season but wants to move and has jumped at this shot of joining a Premier League outfit.
The 26-year-old had five seasons in Greek football where he first came to Wigan's attention and he could be a shock signing as Martinez tries to add more bulk to his squad.
