Juventus matchwinner David Trezeguet insists they were deserved derby victors against Torino yesterday.

"This victory is an enormous satisfaction for all of us and especially for this crowd," said the striker after the 1-0 result over Torino. "Tonight we did better than Toro. It was a good first half performance and they put us under pressure. We both wanted to prove we are worthy of Serie A.

"We scored at the last minute, but these are special matches. Your position in the table or style of play do not count in a derby, as it is all about determination. Both teams put in a great performance."
