Trezeguet delighted to score in Juventus victory

David Trezeguet was delighted with his goal in Juventus' 2-0 victory over Palermo yesterday.

"I am happy, because after four very difficult months I was in the starting line-up and was fortunate enough to play a good game," said the Juventus hitman.

"The team did well and I thank the lads who wanted me to wear the captain's armband tonight. They really made me feel important to them."

Trezeguet netted in the 2-0 victory away to Palermo after Momo Sissoko had given Juve a half-time lead.

"Palermo did very well and caused us a lot of problems, especially in the second half, but we knew it would be tough here," continued the Frenchman, whose goal was set up by Amauri.

"There is no rivalry between us all. I like playing alongside the best and Amauri is one of the greatest strikers in Serie A. I just hope to give my contribution to the cause."
