“They are still the team to beat,” he said. “They still have an extensive squad and they won the last championship.
“However, Lazio showed in the Italian Super Cup Final that Inter have weak points and that gave hope to everyone. I am convinced we have drawn closer.”
One of the main reasons behind the Frenchman’s confidence is down to the club’s costly summer spending spree.
“The club put in a great deal of effort to make the squad even more competitive,” continued the former Monaco striker.
“Now it is up to us to do our part and show on the field that we are competitive. We do not have a particular objective. We know we can fight on every front even though we know it will not be easy.”
