Former Juventus coach Giovanni Trapattoni has put his hand up for the Greece job.
Former Juve boss Claudio Ranieri was sacked yesterday after their dismal home defeat to Faroe Islands.
"It would be an honour to be the Coach of a side like Greece. They are a great team and a country I would love to work in," said the 75-year-old Trapattoni.
"However, I haven't heard from anyone yet. I have been to Greece many times and always dreamed of working there. The climate is marvellous, the sea wonderful and the football at a good level.
"I already know many of the international players and I'm sure Greece have the potential to qualify for the European Championships.
"I saw the Faroe Islands game and I really couldn't believe it. In football these things can happen even to the best of us."
