Republic of Ireland boss Giovanni Trapattoni has denied falling out with Sunderland midfielder Andy Reid.

There were rumours of a bust-up between Reid and the boss last month but the Italian denied there was a rift with the former Tottenham and Charlton midfielder.

He said: "I don't have any problems with anybody. I choose thinking about the interests of the team."
