Armand Traore is to be offered new terms by QPR.
The Fulham Chronicle says the former Arsenal man, who has made 76 appearances since his switch to Loftus Road in 2011, is out of contract next month.
But the 24-year-old has revealed negotiations are already underway to extend his time in W12.
He said: "There have been some talks with QPR but I'm going to see in the next few weeks.
"I would have stayed whether it's in the Premier League and the Championship but I'll have to see what's going on."
