Armand Traore was delighted to see QPR clinch their first win of the season following their 2-1 home defeat of Fulham on Saturday.
The R's moved off the bottom of the table courtesy of their first triumph in 17 games to make it three draws and a win in four matches since manager Harry Redknapp took over from Mark Hughes.
"It was definitely a relief to get that win," the former Arsenal defender told Sky Sports. "It was really important to get that win, like Harry said, so I think now we can start our season.
"He is very good with the players. He likes to tell the players their strengths. Obviously that brings confidence to the players. He is a very good motivator as well as a good coach.
"He is a good guy to coach QPR and I feel I have improved since he came in. I always try and improve anyway regardless of the manager, but I am trying to improve every game."
